Dan Scharnhorst - Executive Director

Dan has been working as a staff member and volunteer for youth organizations for over 20 years. He began as the Executive Director of BBBS in January of 2010. He believes strongly that mentoring children is one of the most effective ways we have of making a positive difference in the life of a child. Rita Muench - Office Manager

As Office Manager, Rita manages agency financial matters, communications, receptionist responsibilities and coordinates agency newsletter publication. In addition to the regular office management responsibilities Rita serves on both major fundraiser committees (Golf-Fore-Kids Committee and Bowl-A-Thon Committee). Carol Jens - Program Services Director

As Program Services Director, Carol oversees all matches of “Bigs” and “Littles” in addition to personally providing support services to matches. Carol coordinates staff training, EMPOWER training, compiles caseworker reports, assist with Volunteer/Child enrollment and Match Event planning. James Anderson - Match Specialist - School-Based

James is the "go to" person at the agency if you are interested or have questions concerning the Big Brothers Big Sisters School-Based mentoring program. Our School-Based mentoring program is a rapidly growing program and is currently active in four school districts and eight schools in Manitowoc County. Leah Bonde-Langenfeld - Match Specialist - Community-Based

Leah is one of our "go to" persons at Big Brothers Big Sisters if you are interested or have questions concerning the Big Brothers Big Sisters traditional Community-Based mentoring program. Our Community-Based mentoring program has been active in Manitowoc County for over 30 years and is our most popular mentoring program.
